Applications for preliminary investigation of County road improvement districts shall be submitted on the form provided by the Pierce County Planning and Public Works Department, and submitted to the Right-of-Way Division of the Planning and Public Works Department. There is established a $500.00 fee for each County road improvement application, said fee to provide reimbursement to the Pierce County Planning and Public Works Department for the administrative costs and expenses of processing the application. The separate application for a new County road improvement district is filed with the Right-of-Way Division of the Planning and Public Works Department, and shall be nonrefundable. However, should an application fail and the proponents reapply, the Pierce County Director of Planning and Public Works, or his/her designee may waive new application fees if the new application is substantially similar to the application previously submitted.
