This Chapter shall apply to all infectious waste facilities and transporters without regard to quantity of infectious waste handled per month.

Infectious waste generated and disposed of with residential wastes from a single-family residence or single-family dwelling unit shall be exempt from this Chapter, except (1) where such infectious waste is generated from commercial or professional offices, or (2) residential sharps waste as described in Section 8.38.060.
