2.75.040 Membership – Composition – Terms.
A. Members constituting the first iteration of the Pierce County Veterans Advisory Board shall be appointed by the County Executive from a list of two names for each open position provided by the Pierce County Veterans Advisory Council. Appointees shall be confirmed by a majority of the County Council by Resolution.
B. The Board shall consist of eleven members, all of whom shall be veterans and a majority shall be members of a nationally recognized veterans service organization.
C. The initial terms of Veterans Advisory Board members shall be as follows:
1. Four members shall be appointed to 4-year terms;
2. Three members shall be appointed to 3-year terms;
3. Two members shall be appointed to a 2-year term; and
4. Two members shall be appointed to a 1-year term.
Thereafter, members shall be appointed by the Executive to 4-year terms, said appointments unconstrained by the list required at subsection A of this Section, with Council confirmation to follow.
D. Members shall be limited to two consecutive full terms.
E. Members shall serve without compensation.
