Section 1608.2 of the International Building Code is amended to add the following:

1608.2 Ground snow loads. The ground snow loads to be used in determining the design snow loads for roofs shall be 25 pounds per square foot for elevations up to 700 feet. Ground snow load determination for sites above 700 feet shall be based on the "Snow Load Analysis for Washington" prepared by the Structural Engineers Association of Washington as approved by the building official.
