Any person who interferes with any policeman, peace officer, deputy sheriff, the prosecuting attorney, deputy prosecutors or the prosecutor’s investigators, medical examiner, deputy medical examiners, or investigators of the medical examiner’s office while said officials are performing their legal or official duties, or any person who knowingly gives false information or knowingly makes a false report to any of the above officials while said officials are acting in their official capacity, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
