Longevity benefits shall be determined by the length of continuous and aggregate County service. Unpaid leaves of absence and layoff periods of less than 12 months, or pay status of less than 70 percent per pay cycle will not count towards the length of aggregate service, and will not be considered a break in the employee’s continuous service eligibility.
