All employees shall hold their positions subject to the conditions stated in this Title and the Administrative Guidelines promulgated hereunder. Nothing contained in this Title and Administrative Guidelines shall prevent, relieve, or otherwise excuse any employee from the performance of any duty imposed by any law of the State of Washington and/or ordinance of Pierce County or from rendering of services at such times and places as are necessary in order to properly perform the functions of their office or employment.
