A. When conservation futures funds are appropriated to purchase an eligible property with the intention that the County shall hold the title thereto, the Property Manager shall be the Director of Parks and Recreation or their designee.

B. When conservation futures funds are appropriated to purchase an eligible property with the intention that title to said property be held by a Non-profit Receiving Agency, it shall be that agency's responsibility to manage the conservation futures property. In the event a Receiving Agency disbands or closes, Pierce County shall have the first option to acquire the property that was acquired with conservation futures funds.

C. The County may enter into agreements with nonprofit historic preservation corporations as defined in RCW 64.04.130 or nonprofit nature conservancy corporations as defined in RCW 84.34.250 for the purpose of management of the conservation futures covenants and other property restrictions provided for in this Chapter.

D. The Department will develop a plan and program to inspect all properties acquired with Conservation Futures Funds to assure that conservation easements and covenants are maintained.
