2.93.030 Composition.
The Committee shall consist of 12 members.
A. The Committee shall include four representatives of businesses required to collect the tax imposed under Chapter 67.28 RCW and shall be representative of the geographical diversity of Pierce County and provide balanced representation reflecting all areas of Pierce County, both rural and urban, where the tax imposed in Chapter 4.16 PCC is collected.
B. The Committee shall also include four members who are involved in activities authorized to be funded by revenues received pursuant to Chapter 67.28 RCW and shall be representative of the geographical diversity of Pierce County and provide balanced representation reflecting all areas of Pierce County, both rural and urban, where the tax imposed in Chapter 4.16 PCC is collected.
C. The Committee shall also include the following:
1. two at-large members not affiliated with the tourism industry;
2. an elected official representing a city or town within the area where the tax imposed in Chapter 4.16 PCC is collected. This member will be recommended by the Pierce County Cities and Towns Association; and
3. a member of the Pierce County Council who shall serve as Chair of the Committee.
Members of the Committee shall serve without compensation.
