Land Use Advisory Commissions (LUACs) serve in an advisory capacity on land use matters within defined geographic areas as authorized in this Chapter to the Executive, the County Council, the Hearing Examiner, the Planning Commission, and the Planning and Public Works Department (PPW). The purpose of a LUAC is to facilitate a structured 2-way communication process between the County and community residents, property owners, and business owners regarding significant land use issues affecting communities within unincorporated Pierce County.
