Board members shall be appointed by the Pierce County Executive, subject to confirmation by a majority of the Council, in accordance with the Pierce County Charter, Section 3.30. Members shall be appointed for a term of four years; provided, however, that to ensure staggered terms, three of the initial seven members, determined at random, shall be appointed for a term of three years. If any member leaves the Board prior to the expiration of their term, the Executive shall appoint a replacement member to serve for a full four-year term. A member may serve any number of terms but may serve no more than two terms consecutively.
