The purpose of the Commission is to serve as an advisory board to the legislative and executive branches of Pierce County government on matters of importance to the refugee and immigrant communities in Pierce County related to employment, economic development, public health, student achievement, citizenship, public safety, criminal justice, civic engagement, language access, and protection of civil rights.
