A. A gate serving a commercial facility, residential neighborhood, or multifamily housing community is required to be an electric gate equipped with Opticom.

B. Where a single gate is provided, the gate width shall be not less than 20 feet (6,096 mm). Where a fire apparatus road consists of a divided roadway, the gate width shall be not less than 12 feet (3,658 mm).

C. When a manual gate is allowed it shall be equipped with a Residential Knox box installed on the right side of the gate.
