It is the purpose and intent of the Pierce County Council to establish a Pierce County Adopt-A-Road Litter Control Program to enable volunteer organizations to supplement county litter control efforts by allowing such volunteer organizations to adopt portions of county roads for the purpose of picking up litter along such roads. This partnership between the County and volunteer organizations is further intended to reduce roadside litter and build civic pride in attaining the goal of a litter free Pierce County.
